Quandoo, the Berlin-founded reservation platform acquired by Recruit Holdings in 2015 for roughly €199 million, announced on March 24, 2026 that it is ceasing operations entirely, across every market it serves. If your restaurant uses Quandoo for bookings, here's the timeline and what you need to do before it disappears.
The shutdown timeline
- June 30, 2026 — last day to earn loyalty points on the platform (already passed)
- September 30, 2026 — last day Quandoo accepts new consumer bookings; restaurants can no longer receive reservations through it
- October 1, 2026 — restaurant access to Quandoo's management tools ends
- December 31, 2026 — all Quandoo infrastructure is taken offline permanently
That means you have roughly two weeks left to receive new Quandoo bookings, and about three weeks of tool access after that to get your data out.
What happens to existing reservations
Any booking already confirmed through Quandoo will still be honored, you don't need to re-confirm guests or chase them down. That part is safe.
What you stand to lose
Everything else tied to the platform goes away on the same schedule:
- Guest history: Names, visit frequency, preferences, allergy notes, VIP flags, they all become inaccessible once management tool access ends on October 1
- Any reviews collected specifically on Quandoo disappear for good; they don't carry over to another platform
- There's no built-in export to a successor system. You're responsible for getting your own data out before the cutoff
If you've built up years of guest notes and preferences in Quandoo, treat this as urgent. Export what you can now, not in three weeks.
Clean up your public-facing links
Your Google Business Profile, Instagram bio, Facebook page, and website almost certainly have a "Reserve a table" link pointing at Quandoo. Update those before September 30, or guests will click through to a dead booking flow right as the platform winds down. Your Google, TripAdvisor, and Facebook reviews themselves are unaffected, this is purely about the reservation link.
What this doesn't affect
Quandoo shutting down has no bearing on your other review platforms or your POS. It's specifically your reservation and guest-management layer that's going away, and that's the piece you need to replace before the end of the month.
How Hostme can help you switch
If you're moving off Quandoo, you don't have to figure out the transition alone or pay for two systems while you do it.
- You won't pay Hostme until your Quandoo contract ends. We'll get your account set up and ready to go, but billing doesn't start until you're actually off Quandoo. No overlap, no paying for two reservation systems at once.
- Our support team handles your data export. Rather than trying to pull guest history, preferences, and booking records out of Quandoo yourself before the October 1 cutoff, our team walks through the export with you and gets it into your new Hostme account.
- We set up your account and train your team. Someone from Hostme will help configure your account to match how your restaurant actually runs (floor plan, table setup, staff logins) and train your staff so they're comfortable with the system before it needs to carry a live service, not during one.
The goal is that switching off Quandoo costs you time, not momentum. Reach out to our team to get started.
If you're a Hostme customer already and want help thinking through migration timing, or you're currently on Quandoo and want to talk through what switching looks like, reach out to our team — we're happy to help you map out the next few weeks.
We've put together a companion post on choosing a Quandoo alternative, and an FAQ covering the most common questions about the shutdown. If you're currently on Quandoo and want to talk through what switching to Hostme looks like including timing so you're not paying twice, reach out to our team.
